COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS FOR ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL

To attend Pinnacle Online High School classes, students need access to a computer, internet access and an email account. Email will be used extensively by students to communicate with their instructors and Pinnacle Education staff and administrators.

The minimum computer hardware and software requirements are:

Personal Computer (IBM compatible)

• Pentium II (233 MHz minimum, higher recommended)
• Windows 98 or higher
• 128 MB Ram (512 MB Recommended)
• 56 kbps Modem or High Speed Internet connection (High Speed recommended)
• Monitor set to 800x600 resolution (1024x768 recommended)
• Internet Explorer (web browsing software) - 5.5 or higher
• Our courses require the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to complete written assignments. If you do not have these programs, we recommend OpenOffice.org (www.openoffice.org).
• Adobe Shockwave Flash player
• Quicktime Movie player
