Pinnacle Charter High School -- Tempe East is located in the Southern part of Tempe. The school is located near four traditional Tempe high schools. This unique placement increases the diversity of our student body. Because the school is small, our staff can give more individual help to students. This type of classroom environment fosters more serious students to finish their classes with minimal distractions. Our school offers flexible hours in the morning, afternoon and evening. The morning and afternoon labs are 4 hours Monday through Friday while the evening lab is 5 hours Monday through Thursday. This shorter school day allows students flexibility and an opportunity to maintain employment or personal needs. Our site has certified teachers as lab managers to help students and is supported by learning specialists and aids for students who need one on one help. Because of the small size of our campus, all of our staff members get to know the students better. Our school offers incentives to students who earn excellent grades. One opportunity students have is to work from home within our virtual high school. We also have a World of Work program which allows students to earn elective credits while in school and working at the same time. “Going to Pinnacle has made my last year of high school great.” says student Danielle Hawthorne, “Pinnacle has accommodated my need to graduate before my baby is born.”
