TANNER PACINI
Name: Tanner Pacini
Age: 16
Home: Prescott Valley
School: Pinnacle Virtual High School, August 2006
What was the course? English and life science.
What did you think of the course? I liked it very much. I could work on the course on my time and at anytime during the week.
Why did you choose Pinnacle? I had a bad experience in public schools and did not want to deal with it. I just didn’t want to deal with mean teachers and mean kids anymore. It was great to get away from a traditional school and have less stress in my life. I was going to go to Yavapai County High School, but they had a waiting list and recommended I go to Pinnacle. I’ve had a couple of chance to go to Vavapai, but I’m happy with Pinnacle.
What did having a more flexible schedule allow you to do? I work part-time at Albertson’s grocery store, and I can make my own schedule. They can call me last minute and I can work because I can do my school work anytime during the day or weekend.
What surprised you about taking an on-line course? How much I liked the two, six-week course structure. I could learn and retain more information in six weeks than a semester at a traditional school. I could remember more and it was fresh in my mind.
What are your plans following graduation? Attend college.
What do you hope to do for a profession? Work in the aeronautical field, be a pilot. I want to go into the Navy or the Air Force.
