Recently the focus of the Life & Leisure program on Fox Business News, Pinnacle Education invited a camera crew into our Virtual Learning Center and our Tempe-East campus to speak with our CEO Dr. Michael Matwick. Since it was founded in 1995, more than 35,000 students have passed through Pinnacle Education’s virtual doors. Some came to Pinnacle Education so that they had the flexibility to hold down full-time jobs or to pursue a sport or other passion. Others came so they could take care of their family or so they could graduate early from their traditional high school.

Accreditation
Pinnacle Education is accredited by two of the most important organizations in education: the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement and the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation. These accreditations ensure that credits earned through Pinnacle Education are transferable to any high school in Arizona (and in fact to just about any high school anywhere), and are accepted at colleges and universities throughout the United States.

History
Pinnacle Education was founded in 1995 as an educational development program for students struggling in the traditional high school setting. The program combined computer-assisted instruction with social skill training and workplace development, and soon was recognized for its ability to keep students in school and for its overall excellence.
Since that time, Pinnacle Education has opened new high schools, added to the faculty and attracted thousands of new students. In 2003, Pinnacle Online High School came online and began offering the unique Pinnacle education to any student with a computer and Internet access.
